DC Fashion Week Celebrates Inauguration with the  Washington Presidential Fashion Show




DC Fashion Week presents the Washington Presidential Fashion Show on Sunday, January 18, 2009, celebrating the official Inauguration of the President.  Local fashion designers welcome the opportunity to define "Washingtonian Style" to the new administration and the millions that will attend the inauguration.

 

"For the first time since Nancy Reagan, the fashion community is focused with enthusiasm upon the personal style and dress of a new president and first lady," says Ean Williams, founder and executive director of DC Fashion Week.  "With top designer Donatella Versace paying tribute to President Elect Obama in her latest collection, it is no surprise that Washington fashion designers are also vying for the attention of the White House.   And what changes more than fashion?

 

 

About Washington Presidential Inauguration Fashion Show

 

The fashion show will be held at 7:00 PM at the Crystal City Doubletree hotel in Arlington, Virginia.   The designer collections include Anthony Eastwick, Andrew Nowell, Corjor International, Studio D-Maxsi, Ebannister, Philly Gurl, Tsyndyma, Betsey Johnson (courtesy of Georgetown boutique), Gucci, Prada and Versace (courtesy of 2nd Chance Boutique). Guests will also be able to shop local jewelry and accessories vendors attending the event.
